Fresh Peony Fascinator

I had the opportunity recently to attend a benefit “Garden Party Tea”. Well, a tea means one must have a hat or fascinator of some sort. I jumped-on the opportunity and had an absolute BLAST making this fascinator!

Let me just say for the record, I don’t look good in hats. Quite deplorable actually, they really aren’t becoming on me! Fascinators, I found though, were another story completely. These little hair “perchers” are fabulous! They don’t mess-up your hair or leave you with hat head. Fascinators are very chic and so come in a myriad of shapes, sizes and the styles are endless. I’m sold. Fascinators are the bomb diggity.

This fascinator included hot pink, blush and white peonies (which smelled absolutely divine!), a white peony bud, some pinky purple weigela, red laceleaf Japanese maple and various other greenery.

The fascinator was very sturdy. I wore it for 9-10 hours the day of the tea and then again for about five (5) hours the following day. It was also quite comfortable to wear, although it took a bit of ingenuity and team effort to get it fastened securely into my hair.

One of the gentlemen servers mentioned to me that, “I can see an entire wedding party with these.” I happen to agree (of course.) So lovely, fun and a beautiful statement! I would love to design more of these! So many different styles and variations! I am ready to design fascinators for your next event!
