One of my favorite weddings (to date) is close to my heart – it was my brother and new sister-in-law’s wedding. Chad and Audrey’s wedding took place in beautiful Newport, KY. This was a destination wedding for me, as it is about three hours from my little town in northwestern Ohio, Archbold.
The colors of this wedding were lovely, like a sunset, in shades of coral with ivory, light pinks with tinges of peach darkening to coral and salmon. Both the bride and groom were big readers and have a love of books, so they chose a book theme for their big day. Antique books marked the ends of the aisle and were incorporated into the altar arrangement in the form of a metal book. The arrangements at the front of the church sanctuary rested on stacks of vintage books as well. For the reception, the centerpieces included a stack of books tied with lace, cylinder vases lined with book pages illuminated with candlelight, accompanied by a silver mint julep cup spilling over with flowers and soft silvery dusty miller. The church doors held custom “book page” cones cascading with deluxe flowers suspended from ruffled satin coral ribbons.
For the flowers we used dusty miller, jasmine vine, luxe caramel antike garden roses, coral dahlias, orangey ranunculus and seeded eucalyptus, along with peachy pink hypericum berries. There were even roses that were meticulously handcrafted from book pages. The bride selected a modified cascade gardeneque style bouquet to complement her modest, vintage-like, lace wedding gown with a natural waist, ¾ length sleeves and soft rounded neckline.
Each element, from the custom tea-dyed book page table runners to the coffee bar with his and her coffee blends, was specifically and meticulously planned. The entire wedding was soo them! It was really a gorgeous day! So happy and proud we got to be a part of this wonderful day in such a meaningful way!

What a gorgeous wedding! I love the book theme; and I love how the flower holders were incorporated in the book theme by using pages!
